The access control tab manages the ID’s access control for sub-spaces within your space(s). Setting an access control is a straight conditional statement that is set to grant or revoke access to a sub-space.

To set access control to a sub-space, do the following;

  1. Select your desired ID folder under "My IDs" on the workspace homepage.

  2. Click on "Go to ID builder" on the top right-hand corner of the screen.

  3. Click on "Next step"

  4. Click on "Space"

  5. You can choose to "Create space" or "use existing space".

  6. Click on "Add conditional access to subspaces"

  7. Click on "Add new field"

  8. Click on the "Access control" tab.

  9. Select the first condition in the dropdown which can be ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’ etc.

  10. Select a condition that matches your preference from the second dropdown

  11. Input desired text to set a condition for.

  12. Select whether to grant or revoke access

  13. Click on "Save settings" to save access control.

For example, access control for every staff member of a company whose department (designation) is Engineering will have access to the engineering sub-space of the company space as shown in the image below.

To add more access controls on the ID, click on ‘Add new field’ at the bottom left of the page.
